Historical Festival: "In the Land of the Griffin"
The Historical Festival is an event held as part of the Stargard Days, organized since 2014 by the Archaeological and Historical Museum in Piastowski Park near the Bastei.
From the very beginning, the festival has been designed to recreate the atmosphere of the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648). Historical reenactment groups, educational activities, craft stalls, and food vendors form the core of the event.
Each year, we strive to expand the attractions to bring the history of our city closer to modern-day residents of Stargard and to present the museum from a different perspective.
Once again, in Piastowski Park, in front of the Bastei, a camp of musketeers, pikemen, and artillerymen will appear, as if transported directly from the 17th century. During the two festival days, battles and skirmishes will allow visitors to experience the scent of gunpowder, hear the thunder of gunfire, and the clash of weapons. Invited artisans and historical craftsmen will take you on a vivid journey into the world of ancient or nearly forgotten trades. The blacksmith's hammer will ring on the anvil, alchemists will distill their potions for joy and health, we will check if the shoemaker truly goes barefoot, learn what the weaver is weaving, and discover what a skilled potter can create from clay.
We warmly invite you to join us!
