Conservation Laboratory
The Conservation Laboratory is part of the Archaeology Department at MAH in Stargard and is responsible for the conservation of archaeological artifacts obtained during excavation work conducted by archaeologists in the city of Stargard and the surrounding county. We primarily conserve metal artifacts made of iron and copper alloys, including bronze. We also clean lead projectiles, trade seals, tin objects, and silver, silver-plated, and alloyed coins. Occasionally, we also work with gold objects, such as rings, and gold imitations, such as tombac.
