Historical Collections
The historical collections of the Stargard Museum include, among others, medals, decorations, seals, documents, weights, technical objects, as well as photographs and postcards.
The largest group is the philatelic collection, which includes over two thousand postcards. Most of them depict pre-war Stargard, but also views of towns from the entire Stargard district.
An important element of the collection is also the collection of commemorative medals and cartes de visite photographs. Old photographs show not only pre-war architecture but also former residents of Stargard.
The collection of measures and weights includes various items once used for measuring bulk and liquid substances, starting from the 17th century.
The historical collections also include everyday items: clothing elements, vessels, clocks, irons, and musical instruments. The collection also features objects related to sports and the development of urban transport, primarily railways.
